Responsible for managing and improving all activities and functions associated with Industrial Deadweight Tester Production, Supply Chain, Sales & Technical Support, Product Development and the UKAS Laboratory.
Main duties include:
To coordinate and manage the manufacturing and service operations cost effectively, meeting delivery times and quality requirements.
To manage the research and development of Industrial Deadweight Testers, aspiring to remain the leading worldwide manufacturers.
Establish and implement development projects, controlling resources and cost.
Plan, execute and control material and production planning.
Constantly evaluate and improve production control of new instruments and calibrations, in order to maximise customer satisfaction regarding service and lead times.
Review and monitor performance of service handling and production.
Responsible for compliance with the quality system, ensuring continued maintenance and improvements of tools and materials.
Be proactive and actively contribute to strategic decisions, such as budget planning, investments and production improvements.
Champion the Kaizan, lean and continuous improvement, building on the culture of the organisation.
All candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
National Diploma or degree is advantageous
Experience as a commercially orientated Operations Manager with proven ability to deliver cost effective solutions to meet market / client requirements.
Minimum of 2 years in a team management role.
Active contribution to continuous improvement.
