The Company is one of the UK’s largest privately owned instrumentation manufacturers with over 85% sales produced from modern UK facilities.
They have a comprehensive range of Temperature, Pressure, Flow and Level measurement products widely proven in diverse and challenging applications. Their customer base includes many blue chip companies.
They also provide bespoke instrumentation solutions to meet the exacting requirements of the customer and their in-house manufacturing and testing is backed up by their own UKAS accredited laboratory.
Key member of the external sales team with responsibility for key account management, lead generation and development.
You will maintain and develop existing business relationships whilst also identifying and nurturing new business.
You will work closely with Internal Sales and other departments to ensure customers needs and requirements are met.
Key Requirements of the role are:
Ensuring that Sales targets are met / exceeded and to produce , as required, accurate short and long term product sales forecasts, to assist in the preparation of annual budgets or forecast revisions.
Maintain customer records in accordance with the Company procedures, to ensure professional and consistent contact and to maximise business opportunities.
Develop and maintain territory planning techniques, to ensure efficient area coverage.
Prepare and submit reports, such as planning and action reports, expenses and forecasts etc, according to the departmental requirements.
Awareness of key competitor activity and recommend definitive, alternative strategies, when necessary and to liase with area colleagues to ensure the synergistic development of market intelligence and sales opportunities.
Identification of new product or application opportunities and communicate these requirements with the appropriate supporting information to Sales Management.
You will have a minimum of HNC / Degree engineering based qualification and will be from a technical sales background.
You will be outgoing, hardworking, enthusiastic and be able to develop strong relationships based on a commitment to offer the best service at all times.
You will also be professional, dedicated and ambitious ideally with experience in the sale of instrumentation into industrial and manufacturing sectors.
You will have good IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
