The Company

The Company is one of the UK’s largest privately owned instrumentation manufacturers with over 85% sales produced from modern UK facilities.

They have a comprehensive range of Temperature, Pressure, Flow and Level measurement products widely proven in diverse and challenging applications. Their customer base includes many blue chip companies.

They also provide bespoke instrumentation solutions to meet the exacting requirements of the customer and their in-house manufacturing and testing is backed up by their own UKAS accredited laboratory.

The Role

This is a full time position, working for a market leading organisation based in South Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

To receive customer enquiries, produce quotations as necessary and to assist other members of the sales department to operate as efficiently as possible.

To follow up any enquiries in a professional manner as directed by sales management.

To check all customer enquiries, both technically and commercially, with due regard to pricing and delivery requirements.

To prepare and send formal quotations by e-mail, post or fax.

To carry out contract review procedures on any relevant orders or quotations and to maintain appropriate records and to identify any special requirements necessary to satisfy order execution.

To ensure all written correspondence reflects the high quality and standards of the company.

Maintain customer records in accordance with the Company procedures, to ensure professional and consistent contact and to maximise business opportunities.

Ensure all customer requests are dealt with speedily and efficiently.

Liase with sales management to suggest changes or improvements which may enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Confident and assertive individual with a strong customer focus and the ability to work on own initiative.

Professional and responsive approach to gain credibility through integrity, technical knowledge and personality.

 

Education:

Recognised formal qualification in an engineering or process related discipline.

Desirable:

Minimum HNC in an engineering or process discipline. Training in sales, marketing, negotiation
