The Role

Overall Purpose of the Position:

Manages the promotion and direction of sales within an assigned area or territory.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for creating a business plan to increase sales through researching, analysing, and interpreting records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realised revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management
  • Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, and develop sales campaigns
  • Predicts future market trends and develops new sales ideas
  • Identifies and contacts potential new customers
  • Calls on new and existing customers to explain features and merits of products or services offered
  • Demonstrates products or services, and provides assistance in the best application of products or services
  • Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate referrals where required
  • Closes transactions and takes orders
  • Submits time and expense reports to management
  • Investigates product or service warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies
  • Calculates and quotes prices
  • Coordinate customers’ service needs with other departments as required to ensure customer service
  • Attends trade shows, staff booth, and help with set up and break down of booth

 

Other Duties:

  • Performs all other duties as required
  • Travel to customers as required
  • Responsible for providing backup to other Regional Sales Managers as needed
Requirements

All Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a sales capacity required

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Identify problems, investigate the root-cause, and make recommendations for solutions
  • Use verbal skills to transfer information to large groups and/or influence others
  • Complete and maintain documentation/records to effectively convey ideas and information both in written and oral form.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time with overnight stays required.
