The Company

My client is one of the world leaders in industrial automation & control, test & measurement, information systems and industrial services.

Many of their customers are global names in Oil & Gas, both upstream & midstream, refining & petrochemical, power and energy industries.

The Role

To promote and sell the companies products & services in a specific region, pursue identified opportunities, projects and new customers.

To meet individual goals, targets and objectives to contribute to the sales and profitability targets of the Company.

  • Identify sales opportunities, in the defined market segments, territory and customer accounts.
  • identify customer needs and requirements and assist in providing innovative and cost effective solutions.
  • Assist the sales support team with the production of technically and commercially competitive proposals, tender documents and bid submissions.
  • Liase with other divisions of the company for the presentation and support of totally integrated Instrumentation / Systems solutions.
  • Commercial negotiation and responsibility for assisting the bid process
  • Participate as a member of the UK team in the pursuit of its business activities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations on the range of solutions and products.
  • Customer liaison & Entertainment, as and when necessary.
  • Participation at conferences and exhibitions.
Requirements

Essential:

  • A formal technical qualification in a related discipline.
  • Recognised formal qualification in an engineering or process related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the process control industry.
  • Proven track record in sales of instrumentation solutions and engineering services to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Teamwork – As part of a structured team in the preparation of proposals for and the selling of major capital projects.

Desirable:

  • Degree in an engineering or process related discipline.
  • Training in sales / marketing / negotiation
  • Understanding of computer integration networking and systems.
  • Sales / Marketing support for high technology capital equipment.
